Vehicle Inspection Specialist (Automotive)

Salary: Up to $19/hour for highly qualified candidates, with weekly bonuses of up to $300.

What you will do

• Perform comprehensive Courtesy Checks and Digital Vehicle Inspections on arriving vehicles using tablet technology.
• Evaluate fluid levels, tires, brakes, batteries, lighting, belts, hoses, and steering and suspension components.
• Capture photos, videos, notes, measurements, and customer-ready documentation in the shop management system.
• Complete every required inspection field and maintain a 100 DVI System Quality Score.
• Safely move and stage vehicles between the parking lot, inspection bay, and technician bays.
• Keep the inspection area clean, safe, organized, and ready for rapid vehicle turnaround.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in a quick-lube facility, dealership, automotive inspection facility, or completion or enrollment in an automotive technology program.
• Valid Virginia driver's license and clean driving record required.
• Ability to operate tablets, inspection software, photo and video equipment, and computers accurately and efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail when identifying leaks, wear patterns, and safety hazards.
• Ability to lift or move over 50 pounds, stand or walk for most of the workday, work in tight spaces, use hand tools, and drive manual-transmission vehicles.
• Ability to maintain a brisk pace in a high-volume automotive environment.

Nice to have

• Active Virginia State Safety Inspection License, or ability to obtain one within 90 days of hire.
