Mental Health Clinical Nursing Instructor (PT)

Location: Arlington, VA, USA; candidates must live within a reasonable proximity and teach in person at assigned clinical locations.

Salary: $1,120–$7,245 per campus assignment, depending on education and experience.

What you will do

• Teach and supervise Bachelor of Science in Nursing students in inpatient clinical settings.
• Connect classroom and simulation learning with real-world patient care and psychiatric nursing practice.
• Plan clinical experiences, create assignments, and evaluate student competencies.
• Provide documented performance feedback and support student remediation when needed.
• Coordinate with clinical-site personnel on policies, procedures, expectations, and student issues.
• Support curriculum implementation, program assessment, retention efforts, and college development.

Requirements

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Unencumbered professional nursing license in Virginia.
• At least two years of registered nursing experience within the last five years in the area of instruction.
• Residence within reasonable proximity of Arlington, VA, with in-person teaching at assigned clinical locations.
• Strong nursing subject-matter expertise and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Passion for nursing education, lifelong learning, and supporting students and colleagues.
