Privacy Analyst (Cybersecurity)

Location: Washington, DC, USA. Remote work is available, although occasional work at a Booz Allen or customer facility may be required. Applicants must meet U.S. government client eligibility requirements and obtain a Public Trust determination.

Salary: $55,200–$126,000 annualized USD.

What you will do

• Support the client privacy office, primarily on the Privacy Documentation Team.
• Design, manage, implement, enforce, and continuously improve data privacy ethics and compliance programs.
• Research and analyze privacy laws, standards, policies, and operational activities.
• Draft Privacy Threshold Analyses, Privacy Impact Assessments, and other documentation for varied audiences.
• Inform operators, senior leadership, and commanders about privacy-focused activities and requirements.
• Work autonomously while collaborating with project teams, stakeholders, and team leads.

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional or nonprofit experience in privacy or information security.
• Knowledge of the Privacy Act, E-Government Act of 2002, or NIST SP 800-53 Revision 5.
• Ability to execute work against objectives, priorities, deadlines, and KPIs.
• Associate’s degree.
• Public Trust determination and eligibility for the U.S. government client are required.
• Ability to obtain an IAPP privacy certification, such as CIPP or CIPM, within 90 days of hire.

Nice to have

• Experience with law or public policy.
• Experience with Security Assessment and Authorization processes.
• Experience monitoring and assessing compliance with federal privacy laws and policies.
• Experience developing privacy policies, procedures, and guidance.
• Bachelor’s degree.
