IT Engineer (AI)

Salary: $91,000–$161,000 annual base salary

What you will do

• Design, implement, and manage a secure, scalable cloud-first IT environment across SaaS platforms.
• Strengthen access controls, device security, and risk mitigation through a security-first approach.
• Automate manual IT workflows and identify opportunities for AI-powered agents and bots.
• Lead cross-functional IT projects, evaluate new technologies, and define internal standards and runbooks.
• Administer Google Workspace, Proofpoint, Slack, Okta, Jamf, Intune, and related collaboration and endpoint platforms.
• Serve as a senior escalation point, perform root cause analysis, mentor team members, and support escalated tickets and new-hire onboarding for up to 20% of the role.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in IT Engineering, Systems Administration, or a related role in a cloud-first environment.
• Experience managing SaaS-based IT infrastructure, macOS and Windows endpoints, and modern device management environments.
• Deep Google Workspace administration experience, including Gmail routing, security, and deliverability.
• Hands-on experience with Proofpoint or an equivalent email security platform, plus Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Okta, Jamf, and Intune.
• Experience with Zero Trust Network Access or modern network security, scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or APIs.
• Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, communication, technical leadership, mentoring, and IT asset lifecycle management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI orchestration or agent platforms.
• Additional Proofpoint experience.
