Quality Lab Technician

Location: Bellevue, Ohio, USA; onsite. Supports a 24/7 manufacturing operation on a non-rotating Pitman shift: 6:00 a.m.–6:30 p.m. or 6:00 p.m.–6:30 a.m.

Salary: $21.00 per hour, plus a $1.00 shift differential.

What you will do

• Perform quality control testing on work-in-progress, finished goods, engineering trial products, raw materials, and customer returns.
• Validate test results and accurately record quality data in SAP, quality systems, customer portals, and related documentation.
• Identify and report non-conforming and engineering trial materials, expired products, and customer-return findings.
• Generate Certificates of Analysis and communicate quality concerns and test results to Production, Quality, and Engineering teams.
• Calibrate, verify, clean, and maintain laboratory equipment while managing testing supplies and retained samples.
• Support EHS compliance, safe laboratory operations, problem-solving, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous laboratory experience and experience in a controlled laboratory environment required.
• Ability to follow work instructions and testing procedures and maintain accurate documentation.
• Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office; SAP or similar ERP experience is preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, work 12-hour shifts, wear required PPE, and occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel occasionally if required.

Nice to have

• Associate degree, technical diploma, or coursework in Chemistry, Chemical Technology, or a related scientific field.
• Experience in a chemical manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with quality systems, Disciplined Process Improvement, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
