Laboratory Technician I - Night Shift / Weekend Differential Eligible (Life Sciences)

Location: Azusa, California, USA; onsite laboratory role

Salary: $22.00–$24.50 per hour

What you will do

• Manage specimen accessioning, collection, packaging, shipping, receiving, processing, tracking, and archiving.
• Enter specimen and testing data into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
• Perform cleaning, equipment maintenance, reagent preparation, and aliquoting using approved equipment.
• Maintain quality records, testing documentation, filing, and archival systems.
• Interface with clients to resolve specimen issues and collaborate with laboratory staff on daily activities.
• Train new and existing laboratory technicians and help manage escalated issues and projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, medical technology, chemistry, life science, or a related field.
• Some laboratory experience is preferred.
• Understanding of universal precautions and the ability to work with potentially infectious human blood and body fluids.
• Ability to follow SOPs, maintenance instructions, company policies, quality procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Analytical thinking, communication skills, accurate observation and recordkeeping, and proficiency with medical laboratory equipment.
• Intermediate PC and database skills; one year of data entry experience is preferred.
