Automotive Senior Technician

Location: 010588 Mesquite Galloway, United States; onsite automotive service role

Salary: $20.60–$31.55 per hour under a performance-based flat-rate compensation model.

What you will do

• Diagnose and repair brake, hydraulic, exhaust, fuel ignition, electrical, suspension, alignment, air conditioning, and computer systems.
• Perform general automotive maintenance and tire repairs to specification.
• Explain technical diagnoses and recommended repairs to customers without a mechanical background.
• Assist with and train technicians and mechanics on technical procedures.
• Stay current with automotive technology through paid formal training.
• Obtain or maintain A.S.E. certification in at least three A1–A8 areas within the first two years.

Requirements

• Valid automobile driver's license and ability to drive customer and company vehicles.
• Demonstrated skill in brake and hydraulic systems or steering, suspension, and alignments.
• Experience with general automotive maintenance and tire repair.
• Current applicable federal, state, and local certifications or licenses.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people, with reading, writing, and math skills.
• Must complete Form I-9 employment eligibility verification; temporary work authorization or the need for sponsorship may disqualify employment.

Nice to have

• Three years of automotive repair experience, third-party assessments or certifications, or completion of a vocational-technical program.
• A.S.E. certification in at least one A1–A8 area; L1 certification is also acceptable.
