Lead Estimator - ECSI (Electrical Construction)

Salary: $107,008–$136,192 per year

What you will do

• Lead the centralized estimating department and provide day-to-day direction, mentoring, training, and staff development.
• Prepare and review conceptual estimates, budgets, line-item take-offs, scopes of work, bid leveling documents, and supporting bid documentation.
• Develop bid strategies with business development and leadership teams, assess project risks, and support pursuit of suitable commercial and industrial projects.
• Lead pre-bid, final bid, estimate, and kickoff reviews while ensuring compliance with estimating procedures and quality-control checklists.
• Coordinate estimating resources, sales proposal requirements, subcontractors, suppliers, purchasing, and project constructability, scheduling, phasing, and staffing considerations.
• Oversee estimating databases, bid-day procedures, revision records, and opportunities to improve profitability and prefab utilization.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; a two-year degree in Electrical Construction, Engineering, or equivalent experience is preferred.
• 10+ years of commercial construction experience preferred, including 6+ years estimating commercial or industrial construction projects.
• Leadership experience with complex and large projects, preferably projects valued at $5 million or more.
• Strong knowledge of drawings, specifications, project controls, conceptual estimating, general contracting processes, and electrical estimating software.
• Strong computer, mathematical, organizational, communication, problem-solving, and presentation skills, including advanced Microsoft Office and Excel use.
• Strong Bluebeam experience is required; Procore Estimating or D-Tools experience is a plus.
