Staff Software Engineer (MANTL)

Location: US Remote; candidates must be eligible to work in the United States

Salary: $144,000–$180,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead the design, development, deployment, maintenance, and debugging of scalable software systems.
• Conduct code and design reviews, establish development standards, and build reusable code and libraries.
• Develop and optimize full-stack web applications, REST APIs, UI tests, and application performance.
• Configure environments, monitor system health, support production systems, and participate in on-call incident resolution.
• Collaborate with developers, designers, system administrators, product teams, customers, and vendors.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead adoption of AI-driven engineering practices for code modernization and agentic workflows.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of related software development experience, or 6 years with an advanced degree.
• Strong programming experience with Java or C# and proven full-stack development experience.
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angular, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience with cloud-native infrastructure, Kubernetes, production monitoring, REST APIs, and application deployment.
• Advanced knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, caching, performance optimization, and automated testing.
• Must be eligible to work in the US; employment sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in engineering, technology, or a related field.
• Experience with SaaS products in the technology or financial industries.
• Experience deploying applications on Amazon Web Services using Kubernetes.
• Experience with cross-platform mobile development frameworks such as Flutter.
