Collections Analyst (Manufacturing)

Location: La Crosse, Wisconsin, United States; onsite Monday through Thursday and flexible work location on Fridays

Salary: $45,821.66–$64,224.99 annual base salary range; exception hourly compensation

What you will do

• Manage an accounts receivable portfolio and execute collection strategies to reduce delinquency and Days Sales Outstanding.
• Respond to customer inquiries involving documentation, billing, payment applications, disputes, program changes, and new sales requests.
• Contact customers about past-due receivables, determine reasons for non-payment, and place accounts on credit hold when necessary.
• Monitor customer credit-line compliance, recommend credit-line changes, and prepare or approve over-line requests within the assigned authority level.
• Run Dun & Bradstreet reports, obtain credit references, and support credit decisions.
• Promote, negotiate, and sell automated or pre-payment options to customers.

Requirements

• High school diploma required; a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or another business discipline is preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in collections or customer service; manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of risk analysis and receivables collection is advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to work with sales teams, offices, plants, and customers.
• Ability to prioritize daily, weekly, and monthly work against collection metrics.
• PC literacy and basic Microsoft Office skills required.
