Systems Engineer (Hybrid Cloud & Storage)

Location: On-site work or operational support at designated facilities in Dayton, OH; Columbus, OH; Ogden, UT; Richmond, VA; or Tracy, CA. U.S. work authorization and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance are required.

What you will do

• Provision, configure, operate, and maintain enterprise systems hardware, software, cloud platforms, and related infrastructure.
• Monitor, test, document, and improve data restoration, disaster recovery, failover, and business continuity capabilities across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Design, integrate, and administer enterprise storage arrays, Fibre Channel switches, SAN components, NAS technologies, and storage fabrics.
• Maintain and optimize hybrid backup and recovery platforms while supporting high availability, resiliency, and performance for critical workloads.
• Perform health checks, capacity forecasting, storage analysis, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
• Author technical specifications, project plans, policies, SOPs, architecture documents, validation results, and technical reports for engineering teams and executive stakeholders.

Requirements

• Active Department of Defense Secret security clearance required, including IT-I / Critical-Sensitive determination and Tier 5 SSBI investigation.
• U.S. work authorization required; visa sponsorship is not available.
• DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification, such as Security+ CE, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, or SSCP.
• At least one required computing-environment certification, including AWS Solutions Architect – Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, NetApp hybrid-cloud certifications, or Cohesity certifications.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Five or more years of systems engineering experience, including enterprise storage and backup platforms; experience must include hybrid cloud storage, SAN management, backup/restore tools, and DoD or military IT environments.
