Obesity Medicine Physician (Remote)

Location: Fully remote, US-based

Base annual salary: $210,000–$230,000 USD

What you will do

• Provide direct, evidence-based patient care for obesity and chronic weight management.
• Review patient charts and conduct visits to ensure quality and continuity of care.
• Develop treatment plans and provide medical management support for complex or escalated cases.
• Collaborate with and, when needed, supervise APPs and Registered Dietitians specializing in obesity treatment.
• Prescribe non-controlled obesity medications and ensure consistent adherence to documentation, protocols, and treatment pathways.
• Participate in team-based care, departmental meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree.
• Current ABOM board certification is required.
• Demonstrated clinical experience in obesity medicine and pharmacotherapy, including oral and injectable medications.
• Active, unrestricted medical license in any US state and eligibility to obtain additional state licenses are required. IMLC membership is preferred.
• At least two years of post-residency attending experience in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Obesity Medicine, or an accredited Obesity Medicine fellowship.
• Current Medicare opt-in status, strong communication skills, and commitment to patient-centered, culturally competent care.

Nice to have

• Experience providing synchronous patient care in a telehealth setting.
• Experience working with APPs, medical residents, or trainees in a clinical academic setting.
• Medical fluency in Spanish.
