AI Backend Engineer (Python) — Forward Deployed

What you will do

• Build LLM-based agents using platform scaffolding such as LangGraph, LiteLLM, and Langfuse.
• Integrate agents with internal banking APIs, tool calling, state and conversation management, and guardrails.
• Deploy agents to production on AWS using containers, CI/CD, secrets, permissions, networking, and security controls.
• Define evaluation workflows and monitor production quality, latency, cost, and traces.
• Resolve technical and process issues with Identity, Security, DevSecOps, Networking, and business teams.
• Create documentation and runbooks, transfer operational knowledge, and improve agent templates, deployment pipelines, and observability after each rotation.

Requirements

• At least one LLM-based agent or system taken to production and operated using LangGraph or an equivalent framework.
• 4+ years of backend engineering experience with Python and production services built with FastAPI or another asynchronous framework.
• Ability to take a service from repository to production on AWS, including containers, CI/CD, and observability.
• Experience with LLM evaluations, tracing, hallucination control, and agent observability using Langfuse or a similar tool.
• Daily use of AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or Cursor.
• Strong communication, ownership, architectural judgment, and documentation skills.

Nice to have

• Banking or fintech experience.
• Kubernetes, Terraform, OAuth2/JWT, RAG, or vector database experience.
• Experience building MCP servers or using Spec-Driven Development.
• Previous embedded client consulting or forward-deployed experience.
