Software Engineer - System Modeling (Aerospace)

Location: Berlin, Germany; hybrid work model

Company

Develops high-performance satellite technology and infrastructure for rapid satellite mission development within the German aerospace industry.

What you will do

• Develop system infrastructure, digital models, tools, and processes for satellite missions.
• Work with engineering teams to support architecture and mission development.
• Build code-based system models using MBSE and SysMLv2.
• Implement architecture, testing, automation, database, and API solutions.
• Manage Git and GitLab workflows, including branches, merge requests, and CI troubleshooting.

Requirements

• University degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with MBSE, SysMLv2, and code-based system modeling.
• Strong Python skills and experience with architecture, testing, automation, databases, and API interfacing.
• Proficiency with Git, GitLab, and CI pipelines.
• Structured, process-oriented approach and strong collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Understanding of satellite missions, system architectures, satellite subsystems, and the satellite development lifecycle.
• Experience with UI design for data visualization, PostgreSQL, InfluxDB, and Grafana.
