Director FP&A

What you will do

• Own the company forecast, including leading indicators, historical benchmarks, sales inputs, and the planning process.
• Develop the financial case for investments, new event categories, digital initiatives, staffing plans, and headcount allocation.
• Own planning for business units outside the core events budget, with detailed analysis of digital and emerging initiatives.
• Ensure financial data is consistent, reconciled with Accounting through close, and based on a single source of truth.
• Rebuild manual recurring reporting and lead the evaluation of dedicated FP&A tooling.
• Manage and develop the FP&A Manager while setting the analytical and written communication standards for the function.

Requirements

• 8–12 years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or corporate finance, with increasing scope and ownership.
• Experience owning a company-level or major-segment forecast, preferably across multiple business lines or entities.
• Experience forecasting lumpy, project-based revenue in events, media, marketplaces, or a similar business.
• Exceptional written communication suitable for boards, private equity sponsors, or corporate investors.
• Expert financial modeling and advanced Excel skills, with fluency in NetSuite or a comparable ERP, Salesforce, and BI tools welcomed.
• Experience managing or formally developing finance talent and replacing manual reporting with scalable, documented processes.

Nice to have

• Experience selecting or implementing Cube, Adaptive, Pigment, Anaplan, or similar FP&A platforms.
• Experience presenting directly to a board, private equity sponsor, or corporate parent.
• Working practice with AI in finance and a clear understanding of when tooling adds value.
