Senior Perception Engineer (ADAS)

Location: Novi, Michigan, United States; telecommuting permitted; 20% domestic travel throughout the U.S.

What you will do

• Architect perception systems for commercial vehicles and define sensor placement, thermal constraints, and ECU requirements with development and hardware teams.
• Design and optimize multimodal ADAS features using camera, radar, LiDAR, and ultrasonic sensor inputs.
• Develop, deploy, debug, and benchmark real-time safety-critical embedded software in C, C++, and Python across ARM Cortex, NVIDIA Jetson, and TI Jacinto platforms.
• Implement computer vision and machine-vision pipelines with OpenCV, OpenVX, Vulkan, and hardware-specific optimization techniques.
• Integrate and calibrate sensors, implement sensor-fusion algorithms, tune ISP pipelines, and optimize neural-network inference with TensorRT and ONNX.
• Contribute to ISO 26262 and ISO/SAE 21434-compliant software, technical documentation, validation reports, technical reviews, and patent initiatives.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in related occupations, including C, C++, and Python programming, machine-learning frameworks, data structures, data modeling, software architecture, and embedded software.
• At least 3 years of experience with ARM architecture, image and signal processors, algorithms, OpenVX, OpenCV, OpenGL, and ADAS components.
• At least 1 year of experience in camera sensor development.
• Permanent authority to work in the United States is required.
• Availability for 20% domestic travel throughout the United States.
