C# / ASP.NET Application Engineer (SQL Server)

Location: Fully remote within the United States

Salary: $160,000–$185,000 annually

What you will do

• Maintain and enhance ASP.NET MVC, Web API, and Web Forms applications across the full application stack.
• Design, query, and optimize SQL Server databases, including T-SQL, stored procedures, indexing, data models, and performance tuning.
• Develop and troubleshoot SSIS packages and manage SQL Server Agent jobs.
• Configure and support Active Directory authentication, Windows Authentication, and IIS settings.
• Diagnose application, database, and server issues while collaborating with database, systems, and security teams.
• Participate in code reviews, documentation, secure coding, and continuous improvement of .NET applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering with 12+ years of experience, or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong C# and ASP.NET experience with solid T-SQL and SQL Server administration knowledge.
• Hands-on SSIS development and troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with Active Directory, Windows Authentication, IIS administration, and SQL Server Agent.
• Git-based development experience with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a suitability/Public Trust clearance.

Nice to have

• ASP.NET Core and advanced SQL performance tuning experience.
• CI/CD experience with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• PowerShell scripting and modern authentication experience with OIDC or SAML.
• Experience with cloud or hybrid environments.
