Material Handler - Team Lead Service IB 2nd Shift

Location: Janesville, Wisconsin, USA; onsite, 2nd shift

What you will do

• Pick warehoused parts and deliver materials to assembly areas to support efficient production.
• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment, complete daily inspections, and follow safe operating practices.
• Coordinate with production lines to optimize people, materials, and equipment for customer demand.
• Use the ERP system to access information and complete material transactions.
• Train new employees and team members across multiple work areas and standard processes.
• Lead problem solving and implement improvements to safety, quality, delivery, productivity, throughput, and cost.

Requirements

• Ability to operate or learn to operate material-handling equipment.
• Ability to identify and resolve basic to moderately complex problems and collaborate with other departments.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment with strong communication and professional work ethics.
• Ability to cross-train in multiple operations and train employees in established processes.
• At least 2 years of material-handling or forklift-operation experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
• Forklift certification and proficiency with material transactions in an ERP system are required for the highest material-handler level.
