Managing Director- Commercial Banking

Location: Los Angeles, California, United States; may require up to 50% travel.

Salary: $237,605–$293,511 per year, plus potential annual bonus, incentives, and restricted stock.

What you will do

• Execute the division’s strategic plan and guide growth and customer retention efforts.
• Identify target markets and build a new commercial banking book of business through business development and customer solicitation.
• Negotiate, underwrite, and coordinate the closing and servicing of major and complex corporate and commercial loans.
• Develop deposit and business checking relationships and collaborate with treasury partners to deliver client solutions.
• Analyze market, financial, credit, industry, and risk information and present financing requests to senior management or the Loan Committee.
• Lead and develop the team through hiring, coaching, performance management, training, and development.

Requirements

• 12+ years of related experience and previous leadership experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Advanced to expert knowledge of commercial banking operations, including deposits, loan administration, treasury management, and banking products.
• Advanced to expert knowledge of regulatory and legal compliance requirements, industry standards, and practices.
• Advanced to expert experience with lending, negotiation, underwriting, loan closing, relationship development, and financial services.
• Expert relationship management, speaking, and writing skills.
