Location: Rockrimmon, Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States; the role requires a regular presence in the manufacturing area and several weeks of onboarding at the Bedford, Massachusetts site.

Salary: $100,000–$115,000 per year, depending on skills and experience.

What you will do

  • Drive commissioning, validation, and qualification of membrane processes and production-scale equipment, including IQ/OQ protocols.
  • Develop and optimize membrane processes to meet key performance output variables and support high-volume production.
  • Design experiments and analyze data with statistical tools to improve yield, capacity, variation, safety, quality, cost, and efficiency.
  • Lead product and process scale-up from development to manufacturing through stage-gate processes and site-to-site transfers.
  • Resolve day-to-day manufacturing issues through technical analysis and root-cause investigation while providing sustaining production support.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Operations, Quality, Equipment and Automation, Facilities, EH&S, Project Management, and global sister facilities; create SOPs, drawings, test procedures, and launch documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Chemical, Materials, Polymer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 4–6 years of manufacturing experience, including leadership of process or continuous-improvement initiatives.
  • Hands-on and analytical problem-solving experience with membrane manufacturing, polymer twin-screw extrusion, web handling, thin-film processing, or non-woven manufacturing preferred.
  • Experience with IQ/OQ/PQ protocols, Statistical Process Control, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, and validation and qualification processes.
  • Experience in lean manufacturing and statistical data analysis using Minitab or similar software preferred.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, cross-functional collaboration, adaptability, and mentoring skills.
