Location: Northwest Columbus, Ohio, United States. Hybrid schedule with onsite work Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. ET and remote work Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET. Candidates must reliably report to the assigned clinic and be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
Compensation: $23–$28 per hour for the temporary position.

Digital addiction-medicine clinic providing virtual, multidisciplinary, evidence-based treatment and ongoing support for people with substance use disorders.
What you will do
- Support patient intakes, outreach, follow-up, care coordination, scheduling, and clinical work queues.
- Act as a primary patient contact and triage urgent clinical requests to registered nurses.
- Coordinate medication, pharmacy, prescription, laboratory, and drug-screen workflows within medical-assistant scope.
- Maintain accurate patient demographics, medical histories, lab results, and communication records in the EHR.
- Provide onsite patient intake, rooming, clinic-flow, supply, equipment, and office-operation support.
- Partner with nurses, providers, pharmacies, and other care-team members to improve timely patient care.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant and an active nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification maintained in good standing.
- Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
- At least 1 year of experience in behavioral health, substance-use treatment, patient advocacy, care coordination, crisis support, peer coaching, or a similar liaison role.
- Experience with healthcare terminology, addiction medicine, scheduling, multiple platforms, G-Suite, video meetings, and spreadsheets.
- Ability to work collaboratively, use non-stigmatizing person-first language, and support patients with addiction and mental-health challenges.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship and able to report reliably to the Northwest Columbus clinic.
Nice to have
- Remote-work or telemedicine experience.
- Experience with substance-use disorder care, harm reduction, or lived recovery experience.
- Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills.
- Experience with Zendesk.
