What you will do
- Design and refine PHY-layer signal processing algorithms for modulation, demodulation, synchronization, channel estimation, filtering, and error correction.
- Build and maintain floating-point and fixed-point Matlab reference models used for hardware implementation and validation.
- Simulate and analyze modem performance under AWGN, fading, and interference conditions using BER, PER, sensitivity, and robustness metrics.
- Contribute to modem IP block implementation in SystemVerilog and develop bit-accurate C models for fixed-point conversion and hardware validation.
- Correlate radio laboratory measurements with simulation models and improve algorithms based on validation results.
- Document algorithm specifications, simulation reports, and performance analyses while evaluating new DSP and wireless communication techniques.
Requirements
- MSc or PhD in Signal Processing, Telecommunications, Electronics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience developing DSP algorithms for wireless communication systems.
- Strong Matlab skills for algorithm modelling, simulation, and performance analysis.
- Hands-on experience with SystemVerilog RTL design and bit-accurate C modelling for signal processing blocks.
- Solid understanding of wireless PHY principles, including modulation, synchronization, channel estimation, and forward error correction.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, communication, and collaboration skills in an international environment.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of LoRa, BLE, FSK, or similar low-power wireless technologies.
- Understanding of fixed-point implementation constraints and hardware design trade-offs.
- Experience with RF instruments such as vector signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and signal analyzers.
