hirify.global is a Series A robotics startup developing Physical AI and retrofit autonomy systems for heavy construction machines.

What you will do

  • Own the task-level architecture shared across autonomous excavation and truck-loading behaviors.
  • Define module boundaries and responsibilities for behavior orchestration, and factor out reusable logic across tasks.
  • Implement component tests and telemetry and metrics collection pipelines.
  • Design extensible, testable policy-deployment modules with schema versioning for observations.
  • Lead C++ and Python tooling for static analysis, linting, typing, sanitizers, and test setup.
  • Unify training, benchmarking, and evaluation tooling across tasks with the simulation team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience developing complex C++ systems, with deep knowledge of modern C++17 or later.
  • Strong Python skills for tooling, configuration, and simulation-side scripting.
  • Experience designing large, modular software systems that have outlived their first use case.
  • High standards for software quality, robustness, and long-term maintainability.

Nice to have

  • Production experience with behavior trees, state machines, or other task-orchestration frameworks.
  • Experience deploying learned controllers, managing versioning, and building observation pipelines.
  • Experience with motion planning, geometric algorithms, or spatial data structures.
  • Experience with feature-flagged deployments, staged rollouts, or long-lived platforms.
