Lead Engineer, Configuration Management (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite at the Centennial, Colorado or Cincinnati, Ohio facility; U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance are required.

Salary: $130,000–$155,000 base salary annually

What you will do

• Lead the engineering configuration management department and define configuration management strategy and processes for engine products.
• Chair the Configuration Control Board for all engine products and manage engineering change requests.
• Maintain the integrity of system documentation, drawings, design artifacts, baselines, records, product configurations, and related technical data.
• Support the design, analysis, and systems integration of turbomachinery components and assemblies.
• Create compliant procedures and support design, assembly, testing, and model-based systems engineering processes.
• Lead root-cause and corrective-action initiatives and coordinate the transition of products from design into production.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or another technical discipline from an accredited university or college.
• At least 8 years of experience working with aviation gas turbines.
• At least 3 years of experience in a configuration management position.
• Strong understanding of configuration management processes for product development and production aligned with military specifications.
• Familiarity with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, plus strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and program execution skills.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
