OSV Quality Assurance Auditor (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in Torrance, California, United States

Salary: $30.00–$40.00 per hour

hirify.global is an aerospace manufacturer designing and integrating primary and secondary flight control actuation systems for military aircraft, including the F-35 Lightning II and V-280 Valor.

What you will do

• Plan and perform OSV process audits to evaluate process effectiveness, operator and technician competency, and the ability to produce conforming parts.
• Sample-inspect parts using inspection techniques and layouts of varying complexity.
• Provide technical guidance on engineering drawings, work instructions, assembly techniques, inspection methods, gages, and test equipment.
• Support production, engineering, and management with process improvement, investigations, risk assessment, and nonconformity resolution.
• Assist with control charting, statistical analysis, variation analysis, and training operators in quality procedures and inspection techniques.
• Support business systems and product audits and report issues and improvement opportunities to engineering and management.

Requirements

• Associate degree or equivalent technical education, vocational training, or apprenticeship in a technological field.
• At least 2 years of experience with precision machines and/or assembly and test processes.
• Practical knowledge of gages, measuring and test equipment, precision-part inspection, fixturing, tooling, and acceptance testing.
• Experience with audit documentation and presentations, manufacturing processes, and inspection processes.
• Ability to work onsite in Torrance, California.
• Access to U.S. export-controlled information is required for this position.

Nice to have

• Aerospace industry experience.
• AS9100D certification or internal audit experience.
• Assembly and test experience.
• Knowledge of military and government specifications.
• SAP experience.
