Senior AWS Platform Engineer (AI)

Location: United States. The position may require up to 10% travel.

Salary: $126,200–$212,754 base salary for US-based employees. Compensation may also include a corporate bonus or role-specific commission and potential equity participation.

What you will do

• Contribute to the architecture and technical direction of an AI-augmented full-stack migration platform.
• Build and maintain Angular front-end features and FastAPI REST and streaming services deployed on AWS Fargate.
• Develop AWS infrastructure as code with AWS CDK across services including DynamoDB, S3, SQS, Cognito, Bedrock, Lambda, EventBridge, KMS, CloudFront, and API Gateway.
• Develop Bedrock-backed AI agents and contribute to shared Python libraries.
• Write automated tests, maintain CI/CD workflows, and improve observability, security, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with product, operations, migration, customer success, sales, and delivery stakeholders while mentoring engineers and resolving complex technical issues.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience building and shipping production software.
• Strong TypeScript, Angular, RxJS, Python, FastAPI, asynchronous Python, REST API, and server-sent events experience.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services and AWS CDK or comparable infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi.
• Understanding of OAuth2, JWT, Cognito user pools and groups, CI/CD pipelines, and GitHub Actions or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate technical trade-offs and collaborate on architecture decisions with non-technical stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, plus experience with agentic coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or OpenAI Codex.

Nice to have

• Experience with hirify.global IdentityNow/ISC or IdentityIQ and identity governance, access management, or security software.
• Familiarity with Amazon Bedrock, LLM agent patterns, retrieval-augmented generation, DynamoDB data modeling, or AWS CodeArtifact.
• Experience with Chart.js, document generation tooling, internal migration platforms, project management, or quality assurance activities.
• AWS, hirify.global Certified Engineer, or Solution Architect certifications.
