Senior IAM Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Salary: $138,000–$173,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Design and implement IAM architecture across AWS, SaaS applications, infrastructure, and on-premises systems.
• Manage identity lifecycle processes, including provisioning, deprovisioning, access requests, approvals, reviews, and recertification.
• Architect MFA, SSO, identity federation, device access controls, and FIDO2 passwordless authentication.
• Automate identity workflows and infrastructure using APIs, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and workflow orchestration.
• Build identity monitoring, analytics, application connectors, and JML integrations with HR and business systems.
• Develop governance controls for AI agents and maintain IAM documentation, metrics, standards, and technical playbooks.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on IAM engineering and implementation experience across cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments.
• Strong experience with AWS IAM, Azure AD/Entra ID, Okta, LDAP/Active Directory, and cloud identity services.
• Experience with OAuth 2.0, SAML, OIDC, MFA, SSO, RBAC, ABAC, identity governance, access reviews, and continuous access monitoring.
• Programming or scripting experience with Python, Bash, Go, or similar, plus API integrations and workflow automation.
• Knowledge of Terraform or CloudFormation, CI/CD, DevOps practices, NIST, Zero Trust, SOC2, PCI-DSS, and GLI-GSF requirements.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, collaboration, and independent architectural problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
• CISSP, CISM, Okta, AWS, Azure, or other recognized IAM certifications.
• Consulting experience or senior IAM experience in regulated industries.
