Head of Studio (VFX)

Location: Paris, Île-de-France, France. Hybrid working with at least 4 days per week in the Paris office. Core hours are 9:30am–6:30pm or 10:00am–7:00pm, Monday to Friday.

What you will do

• Lead the day-to-day operation of the Paris studio and chair the Paris management committee.
• Manage the Paris Studio and Culture Manager and Operations Coordinator.
• Own studio facilities, health and safety, legal compliance, and local operational improvements.
• Act as Artist Manager for a small number of Paris-based artists and support client relationships.
• Lead local hiring, headcount planning, recruitment, career progression, and People initiatives.
• Partner with the Head of VFX, Paris, and global operations leaders to align local decisions with shared processes and policies.

Requirements

• Previous experience in the VFX industry is essential.
• Strong knowledge of employment law and contracts.
• Previous line management experience and the ability to motivate and support teams.
• Strong decision-making, accountability, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead inclusively, respond constructively to feedback, and adapt to changing processes.
• Ability to work from the Paris office at least 4 days per week during the stated core hours.
