Business Analyst Sr (Financial Systems)

What you will do

• Lead month-end organizational reporting through the OFSA application from BD-3 through BD5.
• Support management accounting cost allocations and financial analysis for business segments and staff functions.
• Review OFSA production results using SQL queries and Hyperion Essbase, while maintaining the OFSA user interface.
• Examine, verify, balance, and reconcile transactions to ensure the integrity of financial data.
• Lead ad hoc assignments, project implementations, and testing of system enhancements outside the month-end production cycle.
• Collect and interpret business requirements, perform gap analysis, and support process and workflow improvements with business and technology stakeholders.

Requirements

• University or college degree, typically with 2 or more years of relevant professional experience; equivalent education, certifications, or experience may be considered.
• Experience supporting production environments and platforms such as OFSA, Hyperion Planning, Hyperion Essbase, or similar applications.
• Working knowledge of general accounting, accounting systems, financial reporting, financial analysis, and management accounting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, detail-oriented, requirements analysis, and process management skills.
• The position is in-office in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; visa sponsorship and STEM OPT participation are not available.

Nice to have

• Solid experience with OFSA, Hyperion Essbase, and SQL queries.
• Experience with project leadership, workflow analytics, management reporting, data modeling, and the Waterfall model.
