Quality Manager (Heavy Civil Infrastructure)

Salary: $110,000–$185,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop and maintain program quality manuals, procedures, forms, and audit programs aligned with ISO 9001:2015 and contract requirements.
• Review designer and contractor quality control plans, inspection and test plans, drawings, specifications, and quality records.
• Lead quality audits and coordinate surveillance across highways, roads, bridges, transit, aviation, water, and wastewater work.
• Manage nonconformances from identification through corrective action, disposition, verification, and documented closure.
• Verify materials testing, special inspections, independent assurance testing, laboratory qualifications, and result traceability.
• Report quality trends and audit status, deliver training, and coordinate quality requirements through procurement, construction, commissioning, and turnover.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, construction engineering, quality management, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• 10+ years of quality management experience on large, complex heavy-civil infrastructure projects valued above $500 million.
• Experience developing ISO 9001:2015-aligned quality systems and leading audits, nonconformance management, and corrective actions.
• Ability to read construction drawings, specifications, and industry codes including ASTM, ACI, and AWS.
• Experience with quality and project management information software such as Kahua, Unifier, e-Builder, or Primavera P6.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or Office 365.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a relevant engineering, construction, or quality discipline.
• ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor, CQA, CQE, or Lean Six Sigma certification.
• Experience leading owner quality assurance for programs exceeding $1 billion in construction value.
• Experience establishing quality systems for new program offices and overseeing quality across multiple infrastructure sectors.
• Experience with Power BI, Oracle Cloud Analytics, or other KPI dashboard software.
