Clinical Care Technician (36 hrs/week) - Cardiac Care Unit

Location: Tufts Medical Center, Boston, United States; onsite role with 36 hours per week on rotating day and night shifts, including rotating weekends and holidays.

Salary: $20.12–$25.15 per hour, based on full-time equivalent.

What you will do

• Assist registered nurses with direct patient care, activities of daily living, mobility, comfort measures, and patient safety.
• Collect, document, and communicate clinical data, specimens, and patient concerns to the assigned nurse.
• Prepare rooms and equipment for admissions, transfers, discharges, and clinical procedures.
• Transport and accompany patients, act as a sitter when requested, answer call lights, and perform hourly rounding.
• Perform 12-lead EKGs, connect monitoring equipment, prime non-medicated IV tubing, and support wound care as directed.
• Maintain biomedical equipment, supplies, patient belongings, cleanliness, and Standard Precautions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to read, write, and understand medical terminology.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, computer, and confidentiality skills.
• Ability to provide age-appropriate care and perform physical duties including lifting up to 30–35 pounds, turning patients, and prolonged standing and walking.
• Availability for rotating day and night shifts, weekends, and holidays in an onsite cardiac critical care unit.

Nice to have

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant certification.
• Completion of Nursing Fundamentals in an accredited nursing program.
• One year of experience as a Nursing Assistant, Patient Care Assistant, Critical Care Technician, or Patient Care Technician.
• Acute care experience.
