Corporate Counsel, General Litigation (iGaming)

Location: Remote - US; active membership in good standing with the Massachusetts Bar or eligibility for admission as in-house counsel in Massachusetts is required.

US base salary: $160,800–$201,000 per year, plus bonus, equity, and benefits as applicable.

What you will do

• Assess lawsuits, demand letters, customer complaints, and other actual or potential legal threats by gathering facts, analyzing exposure, and developing response strategies.
• Draft and review court filings with outside counsel and guide litigation strategy from initial assessment through resolution.
• Negotiate with opposing counsel and represent the business in small claims court when needed.
• Partner with internal teams to identify litigation risks and develop strategies to address potential exposure.
• Investigate and respond to inquiries from regulators and Attorneys General offices concerning customer complaints.
• Provide timely, practical guidance on emerging business issues and help internal partners evaluate legal exposure.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant litigation experience at a law firm. In-house experience is a plus.
• Juris Doctor degree from an American Bar Association-accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
• Active membership in good standing with the Massachusetts Bar or eligibility for admission as in-house counsel in Massachusetts.
• Practical, business-minded judgment when evaluating legal issues, managing risk, and developing solutions.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to independently manage multiple priorities while collaborating effectively.
• Ability to build collaborative relationships with internal partners and influence stakeholders through sound legal judgment and clear, actionable guidance.
• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and analytical skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex legal issues clearly.
