Corporate Counsel, General Litigation

Location: Remote - US

Salary: $160,800–$201,000 per year, plus bonus, equity, and benefits as applicable.

What you will do

• Assess lawsuits, demand letters, customer complaints, and other actual or potential legal threats.
• Gather facts, analyze exposure, and develop response strategies for disputes and emerging legal risks.
• Draft and review court filings with outside counsel and guide litigation strategy through resolution.
• Negotiate with opposing counsel and represent the company in small claims court when needed.
• Investigate and respond to inquiries from regulators and Attorneys General offices.
• Provide practical legal guidance on emerging business issues and potential exposure.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant litigation experience at a law firm.
• Juris Doctor degree from an American Bar Association-accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
• Active membership in good standing with the Massachusetts Bar or eligibility for admission as in-house counsel in Massachusetts.
• Business-minded approach to evaluating legal issues, managing risk, and developing solutions.
• Strong organizational, written, verbal, interpersonal, analytical, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate complex legal issues clearly.
