Sr. Medical Science Liaison Iberia (Ophthalmology)

Location: Madrid, Spain; field-based coverage across Spain and Portugal with extensive travel

Salary: EUR 62,294–93,441 gross/year, depending on experience

What you will do

• Build and maintain scientific relationships with KOLs, healthcare professionals, patient associations, and other external stakeholders across Iberia.
• Provide balanced, accurate, and current medical information on ophthalmology products and therapeutic areas.
• Present clinical and scientific data, support medical education initiatives, and deliver training to customers and internal colleagues.
• Attend scientific congresses and meetings, monitor emerging evidence, and communicate field insights internally.
• Support local Medical Affairs and R&D studies, including protocol implementation and administration of investigator-sponsored and company-sponsored studies.
• Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Sales, Marketing, Clinical Development, Medical Information, and other functions on advisory boards, publications, and scientific activities.

Requirements

• University degree in Life Sciences, Medicine, Pharmacy, Biology, Optometry, or another relevant scientific discipline.
• Ability to understand, learn, and communicate complex scientific, clinical, and medical information.
• Strong presentation, communication, education, relationship-building, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to provide accurate, balanced, evidence-based responses and collaborate effectively in an international cross-functional environment.
• Advanced English skills, written and spoken, are required.
• Willingness to travel extensively across Spain and Portugal, with up to 80% of working time dedicated to external customer interactions.
