Patient Access Associate Specialist (Healthcare Revenue Cycle)

Location: On-site at Ballad - Greeneville Community Hospital in Greeneville, Tennessee; candidates must reside in and be authorized to work in the United States.

Salary: $17.00–$18.15 per hour, based on experience.

What you will do

• Register patients, assign medical record numbers, collect demographic and insurance information, and process physician orders.
• Complete medical necessity, compliance, eligibility, and insurance verification checks to support accurate billing and clean claims.
• Pre-register patients, explain consent and patient education documents, obtain signatures, and collect point-of-service payments and past-due balances.
• Audit patient accounts, correct documentation issues, and prepare quality reports and statistical data for Patient Access leadership.
• Operate the telephone switchboard and provide compassionate customer service to patients, guarantors, colleagues, and healthcare partners.
• Meet assigned point-of-service goals and use AI and process improvements to reduce friction in patient and client experiences.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of customer service experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Inquisitive approach and openness to innovation, including AI.
• CRCR certification required within 6 months of hire; certification is company-paid.
• Must work on-site in Greeneville, Tennessee, and reside in and be authorized to work in the United States.
