Facility Security Officer

Location: Hybrid in Washington, D.C. or New York, NY, working from the office Tuesday–Thursday

Salary: $135,000–$165,000 base salary plus equity

What you will do

• Drive the facility clearance application through DCSA assessment, designation, and approval, serving as the primary government interface.
• Transfer existing cleared personnel onto hirify.global’s facility clearance and manage an initial clearance pipeline of approximately 20 employees.
• Build the NISP program from scratch, including security procedures, self-inspections, insider threat processes, visitor authorizations, and classified-material controls.
• Support business development and proposals with security inputs for RFPs, BAAs, PWSs, SOWs, and DD Forms 254.
• Manage SF-312 nondisclosure agreements, security briefings, debriefings, annual training, and foreign contact and travel requirements.
• Lead FOCI reporting and future SCIF accreditation under ICD 705 while embedding security requirements across business operations, engineering, HR, and legal.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• Experience standing up a NISP program from scratch, including an initial FCL package and direct work with DCSA through assessment.
• Hands-on experience opening and accrediting a SCIF under ICD 705 through formal approval.
• FOCI experience, including SF-328 filings and venture or LP investor disclosure requirements.
• Deep NISPOM knowledge, with the ability to build an audit-ready program and conduct effective self-inspections.
• FSO experience in a startup or small defense technology company, including clearance pipelines across defense and civilian federal agencies.

Nice to have

• DCSA Facility Program Management certification for Possessing Facilities, or willingness to complete it within the first 90 days of designation.
• Familiarity with CMMC and the DoD controlled information environment.
