Lead Engineer, Cloud Platform, Azure (Hybrid)

Location: Berlin, Connecticut, United States; hybrid schedule with at least three days in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Must be able to work up to five days in the office when required and travel between Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Hampshire as necessary.

Annual salary: $151,650–$168,500, plus potential incentive.

What you will do

• Design and implement Azure Landing Zone hub-and-spoke architectures, management groups, subscription structures, tagging strategies, budgets, and cost controls.
• Establish governance through Azure Policy, RBAC, Azure AD, and conditional access.
• Architect Azure networking with Virtual WAN, Virtual Network Manager, IP address management, network virtual appliances, firewalls, ER/VPN connectivity, and DNS.
• Build Infrastructure as Code and automated provisioning with Terraform, Ansible, and Harness.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines and apply DevSecOps principles to secure and reliable cloud deployments.
• Implement monitoring, centralized logging, performance optimization, automation scripts, and operational support using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Bash, PowerShell, and Python.

Requirements

• 8–10 years of experience in technical engineering or related technology and application solutions roles, including architecture, design, implementation, support, and management.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a related technical discipline, or equivalent related experience.
• Experience with Azure Landing Zone, Azure Policy, RBAC, Azure AD, Azure networking, Terraform, Ansible, Harness, and CI/CD.
• Experience with GitHub, JFrog Artifactory, Jira, Azure Monitor, and Log Analytics.
• Must be able to work in the hybrid office schedule in Berlin, Connecticut, travel between MA/CT/NH, and participate in emergency restoration assignments.
