Senior Business Intelligence Developer (Google Cloud)

What you will do

• Lead structured evaluations of enterprise BI platforms such as Looker, Qlik, Power BI, and Tableau using real data and business scenarios.
• Define semantic-layer, reporting, pack, and governed KPI standards for cloud data warehouses and lakehouses.
• Build self-service BI enablement materials, including starter models, templates, reusable reports, guidelines, and training.
• Establish the reporting operating model, including ownership, change requests, releases, certification, retirement, and governance integration.
• Protect reporting quality and compliance through governed metrics, column-level security, policy tags, and PII controls.
• Partner with data engineers, product owners, governance stewards, and business stakeholders while supporting migrations from legacy BI platforms.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in business intelligence or analytics, including senior- or lead-level delivery.
• Hands-on expertise with at least one enterprise BI platform, such as Looker/LookML, Qlik, Power BI, or Tableau.
• Strong SQL and experience with a cloud data warehouse; BigQuery is preferred, with Snowflake and Redshift also relevant.
• Experience with semantic or metrics modelling, self-service BI, and data governance including KPI definitions, cataloguing, access, and PII controls.
• Strong stakeholder-management skills, including facilitating workshops and producing recommendations for senior decision-makers.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.

Nice to have

• Experience selecting or migrating BI tooling from SAP BusinessObjects, MicroStrategy, Cognos, or other legacy platforms.
• Familiarity with dbt, Airflow, Dataplex, Collibra, Google Cloud, or Looker certifications.
• Consulting or client-facing delivery experience and exposure to large enterprise or retail data estates.
• Interest in conversational or AI-assisted analytics on governed data.
• Additional European languages, such as German.
