Senior Software Engineer (Go)

Location: Remote-first role associated with London, United Kingdom. Work abroad is permitted for up to three weeks twice per tax year.

Salary: Competitive salary, disclosed during the first conversation; annual discretionary bonus of 15–40%.

What you will do

• Build and improve platforms and services supporting the Partner proposition.
• Develop systems for lead routing, partner onboarding, appointment scheduling, and business management across web and mobile applications.
• Design and implement complex technical solutions for distributed, event-driven systems.
• Own large technical features from design through deployment and ongoing support.
• Own deployments within Kubernetes namespaces and improve service reliability, observability, resilience, and uptime.
• Define technical direction, mentor engineers through pairing and code reviews, and lead complex projects and discovery.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience building scalable distributed systems, including concurrency and event-driven architectures.
• Fluency with Postgres, Kafka, and Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of resilience, observability, uptime, SLAs, and progressive degradation.
• Experience delivering end-to-end solutions from design and implementation through deployment and support.
• Experience with CI/CD tooling, Terraform, modern cloud workflows, and database migrations.
• Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, mentoring, and agile delivery skills; hands-on experience with AI development tools.

Nice to have

• Experience with Go.
• Experience with Kafka and database migrations such as CockroachDB to RDS.
