Battery Electrical Components Specialist (Automotive)

Location: Valladolid or Valencia, Spain; frequent travel to client facilities, approximately 20% of the time.

Salary: €30,000–€40,000 gross per year.

What you will do

• Develop electrical components for lithium-ion vehicle batteries, including busbars, junction boxes, fuses, relays, pyroswitches, and smart current sensors.
• Manage component development from upstream scoping through industrialization.
• Dimension components, write generic specifications, and define validation plans.
• Define core competency rules, technical policies, and standards for the component scope.
• Manage component innovations and ensure performance and reliability.
• Lead design reviews and evaluate new technologies through technology watch, competition analysis, benchmarking, and state-of-the-art reviews.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in electrical engineering, electronic engineering, or general mechanics with an electronics specialization.
• Skills in electrical engineering, electronics, or electromechanics, preferably in energy storage.
• Knowledge of electrical and electronic component development in the automotive industry.
• Knowledge of electrotechnical and electromechanical components.
• Spanish and English are mandatory.
• 3–4 years of relevant experience or a PhD in a related field; willingness to travel frequently to client facilities.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of French.
