Software Testing Engineer III (Salesforce)

Location: Remote within the United States; applicants permanently located outside the US may be declined. Eastern US hours required.

Salary: $102,200–$234,800 USD annual total target compensation, depending on geographic zone.

What you will do

• Design and execute manual, functional, integration, API, and end-to-end tests across Salesforce and enterprise systems.
• Lead hybrid testing activities for complex business logic, integrations, and cross-system workflows.
• Build, maintain, and improve Java-based automated test suites using Selenium, TestNG, and related frameworks.
• Analyze defects, quality metrics, test results, and risks to support release readiness and mitigation decisions.
• Define and maintain quality gates, test plans, test designs, and release quality criteria.
• Mentor QA engineers and contribute to testing standards and continuous process improvement.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in software testing or QA engineering, including Java-based test automation.
• Strong experience with manual test design, risk-based testing, automation strategy, API testing, integration validation, and release quality assessment.
• Hands-on experience with Salesforce, SQL or SOQL, REST APIs, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with defect lifecycle management, quality metrics, quality gates, and release readiness criteria.
• Experience working with Agile/Scrum teams and preventing flaky tests through maintainable automation practices.
• Must be located in the United States and able to work Eastern US hours.

Nice to have

• Salesforce certifications.
• Experience in regulated environments such as SOX, GDPR, or HIPAA.
• Experience with automation framework design, security testing, or complex multi-system integrations.
