TL;DR
Senior Automation Engineer (.NET) (Software as a Medical Device): Building scalable test automation frameworks and automated tests for APIs, backend services, databases, cloud-native systems, and end-to-end workflows with an accent on reliability, maintainability, and regulated software verification. Focus on integrating quality gates into CI/CD, investigating failures across distributed environments, and applying AI-assisted capabilities to improve automation coverage.
Location: Israel; hybrid or remote work arrangement indicated.
Salary: $1–$2 USD; additional bonuses, incentives, and restricted stock units may apply.

What you will do
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks, libraries, reusable components, and testing tools.
- Automate REST APIs, backend services, microservices, integrations, databases, business workflows, and end-to-end scenarios.
- Implement component, contract, integration, system, regression, and end-to-end testing strategies.
- Integrate automated testing and quality gates into CI/CD pipelines and improve test reliability, diagnostics, and execution efficiency.
- Build utilities for test data management, service virtualization, mocks, simulators, fixtures, and environment management.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, DevOps, verification, and quality teams on testability, regulated verification, documentation, and test evidence.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 6–7 years of experience in software quality engineering, software development, or test automation engineering.
- 5+ years of hands-on automation development with C#, Java, Python, TypeScript, or comparable languages.
- Experience testing enterprise-scale web applications, REST APIs, backend services, microservices, integrations, databases, distributed systems, and cloud-native applications.
- Strong software engineering skills, including object-oriented design, modular architecture, debugging, code reviews, version control, and automated quality practices.
- Experience with CI/CD platforms, containerized environments, Agile development, troubleshooting, technical documentation, and collaboration.
Nice to have
- Strong experience with automation frameworks in the .NET ecosystem.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, contract testing, service virtualization, test data generation, mocks, and simulators.
- Experience with performance, resilience, reliability, security testing, and AI-assisted automation.
- Experience with Software as a Medical Device or other regulated software, including IEC 62304, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, and software validation practices.
- Experience in healthcare, diagnostics, genomics, laboratory systems, or mentoring engineers across teams.
