TL;DR
Lead Imaging Engineer (AI): Developing and optimizing imaging and video solutions for webcams and other video-capable devices with an accent on ISP tuning, image processing, computational photography, computer vision, and deep learning. Focus on improving color pipelines, automatic camera feedback loops, image quality algorithms, and embedded implementation across ISP hardware, GPUs, NPUs, and multicore CPUs.

What you will do

  • Develop and tune imaging and video solutions for webcams and other video-capable devices.
  • Improve color processing pipelines, including defective pixel correction, color interpolation, gamma, denoising, sharpness, brightness, contrast, and saturation.
  • Develop and optimize automatic camera feedback loops such as Auto Exposure, Auto White Balance, Auto Focus, and Auto Scene Detection.
  • Create algorithms for noise reduction, detail retention, facial enhancement, computational photography, computer vision, AI, and deep learning.
  • Implement, optimize, and debug image and video processing algorithms on ISP hardware, GPUs, NPUs, and multicore CPUs.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to balance product cost, performance, and user experience.

Requirements

  • MS in Computer Science or equivalent, with 10+ years of relevant experience in multimedia or image processing.
  • Knowledge of optics, image sensors, ISPs, image quality tuning, color science, and digital video.
  • Experience with camera image processing, ISP pipeline development, 3A algorithms, image enhancement, HDR, color gamuts, dynamic range, and computational photography.
  • Hands-on experience implementing and optimizing algorithms in embedded systems and working with ISP hardware, GPUs, NPUs, multicore CPUs, Linux, and RTOS environments.
  • Proficiency in OpenCV, deep learning, MATLAB, GPU programming, Imatest, C, C++, and Python.
  • Familiarity with imaging standards and certification, including Rec.709, BT.2020, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, VCX, and SPIE.

Nice to have

  • Experience using deep learning for ISP algorithms such as demosaicing, noise reduction, and super-resolution.
  • Experience evaluating objective image quality in laboratory environments and subjective image quality in real-world user scenarios.
