Senior Fullstack Engineer (Fintech)

What you will do

• Own product features end to end, from PostgreSQL schema design and backend implementation through frontend delivery and production monitoring.
• Design and maintain event-driven, distributed systems with strong reliability, consistency, and fault-tolerance guarantees.
• Build financial workflows and third-party integrations using webhooks, queues, retries, dead-letter queues, outbox patterns, and reconciliation.
• Create responsive interfaces with React and Next.js while improving scalability, observability, and operational excellence.
• Use AI-assisted development tools, infrastructure automation, and monitoring solutions to accelerate delivery and improve production reliability.
• Participate in architecture decisions, code reviews, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration with product and design stakeholders.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience delivering production-ready full-stack applications end to end.
• Strong TypeScript and Node.js skills, with advanced React and Next.js experience.
• Deep PostgreSQL expertise, including raw SQL, query optimization, migrations, and performance analysis.
• Experience designing distributed and event-driven systems, asynchronous processing, webhooks, retries, idempotency, DLQs, outbox patterns, and reconciliation.
• Experience with financial, payment, billing, payroll, or ledgering systems and strong attention to data integrity.
• Experience using AI-assisted coding tools and working autonomously with strong communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Terraform or Pulumi and observability tools such as Datadog or OpenTelemetry.
• Experience in regulated environments involving SOC2 or PCI-DSS.
• Knowledge of property-based testing frameworks such as fast-check.
• Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to technical leadership initiatives.
• Experience with fintech or high-transaction-volume platforms.
