Senior Full-Stack Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Mexico City; 100% remote work

What you will do

• Own product features from PostgreSQL schema design and backend implementation through frontend delivery and production monitoring.
• Design and maintain scalable event-driven and distributed systems with strong reliability and data-consistency guarantees.
• Build financial workflows and third-party integrations using webhooks, queues, retries, reconciliation, idempotency, dead-letter queues, and outbox patterns.
• Create responsive user interfaces with React and Next.js.
• Improve system scalability, observability, infrastructure automation, security, and operational excellence.
• Mentor engineers, participate in code reviews, and collaborate with product, design, and engineering stakeholders.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience delivering production-ready full-stack applications end to end.
• Strong TypeScript and Node.js skills, with advanced React and Next.js experience.
• Deep PostgreSQL expertise, including raw SQL, query optimization, migrations, and performance analysis.
• Experience designing event-driven and distributed systems, asynchronous processing, webhook architectures, and fault-tolerant applications.
• Experience with financial, payments, billing, payroll, or ledgering systems and complex transactional data.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, plus strong systems thinking, communication, and autonomous execution.

Nice to have

• Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform or Pulumi.
• Experience with Datadog or OpenTelemetry.
• Experience in regulated environments involving SOC2 or PCI-DSS.
• Knowledge of property-based testing frameworks such as fast-check.
• Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to technical leadership initiatives.
