Senior Fullstack Engineer (Fintech)

What you will do

• Own product features across PostgreSQL schema design, backend implementation, frontend delivery, and production monitoring.
• Design and maintain event-driven, distributed systems with strong reliability and data-consistency guarantees.
• Develop transactional workflows, database queries, migrations, and integrations with third-party systems using webhooks, queues, retries, and reconciliation.
• Build responsive interfaces with React and Next.js.
• Improve scalability, observability, infrastructure automation, and operational excellence using tools such as Datadog, OpenTelemetry, Terraform, and Pulumi.
• Participate in architecture decisions, code reviews, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration while supporting security and compliance requirements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience delivering production-ready full-stack applications.
• Strong TypeScript and Node.js skills, with advanced React and Next.js experience.
• Deep PostgreSQL and database engineering expertise, including raw SQL, optimization, migrations, and performance analysis.
• Experience designing distributed and event-driven systems, asynchronous processing, webhook integrations, idempotency, retry strategies, dead-letter queues, outbox patterns, and reconciliation.
• Experience with financial, payments, billing, payroll, or ledgering systems and attention to data integrity.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code or similar platforms.

Nice to have

• Experience with Terraform or Pulumi, Datadog or OpenTelemetry, and regulated environments involving SOC2 or PCI-DSS.
• Knowledge of property-based testing frameworks such as fast-check.
• Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to technical leadership.
• Experience with fintech or high-transaction-volume platforms.
