Senior Software Engineer I (Java & JavaScript) (Identity & Access Management)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and review complex components for the identity and access management platform.
• Build and operate highly available authentication and authorisation infrastructure integrated with identity providers, entitlement services, and downstream APIs.
• Write specifications, implement complex bug fixes, and translate product requirements into software designs.
• Implement continuous integration, delivery, and deployment practices, including logging, instrumentation, and alerting.
• Collaborate with technical stakeholders, participate in code reviews and pair programming, and mentor less senior developers.

Requirements

• Professional software development experience with Java/J2EE, JavaScript, JSP, HTML, Node, React, XML, SQL, Windows, and Unix.
• Experience with Keycloak, Auth0, or another identity provider, including realm configuration, authentication flows, and OIDC client setup.
• Knowledge of software development methodologies, test-driven development, data manipulation, data modelling, and multiple data storage subsystems.
• Experience writing and reviewing technical specifications, resolving complex defects, and applying coding and development best practices.
• Strong research, communication, collaboration, and requirements-finalisation skills.

Nice to have

• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, GitHub Copilot, or Codex for test authoring and quality engineering.
• Experience with Terraform or another infrastructure-as-code tool.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Additional familiarity with Keycloak or another identity provider.
