Technical Specialist - Network (IoT)

What you will do

• Triage network and connectivity issues escalated from the T2 team and escalate deeper engineering investigations to the Network team.
• Build dashboards, monitors, playbooks, and other internal tooling to improve triage workflows and ticket visibility.
• Investigate on-farm connectivity issues and provide insights that improve network coverage, performance, and reliability.
• Collaborate with Network and Fleet teams to detect patterns, resolve recurring issues, and improve first-line support.
• Train and upskill the T2 team while tracking support and reliability metrics such as resolution time, device uptime, and signal quality.
• Conduct on-farm investigations when remote diagnosis is insufficient and participate in on-call or roster coverage.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in a customer-facing role, ideally technical support or a similar ownership-focused role.
• Experience handling network, connectivity, or IoT-related technical issues.
• Strong communication, documentation, triage, and problem-solving skills.
• Comfort with networking, connectivity, or distributed-systems concepts, with the ability to learn further.
• Ability to build simple dashboards, trackers, or playbooks and work effectively across Support, Product, Network, and Fleet teams.
• Ability to conduct investigations on farms, including validating hardware, animal behaviour, and environmental factors.

Nice to have

• Experience with agri-tech, IoT, or hardware-enabled products.
• Familiarity with dashboarding or query tools such as Grafana, Metabase, or Athena.
