Senior Release Manager (ERP)

Location: Remote based in Germany, with occasional on-site collaboration at offices in Berlin or Cologne. Up to 20 remote-work days per year may be taken anywhere in the EU.

What you will do

• Lead the evolution of Enterprise Release Management through standardized governance, release calendars, best practices, and documentation.
• Coordinate complex cross-functional releases involving business owners, team leads, ERP consultants, architects, project and delivery managers, QA teams, and external partners.
• Drive release readiness by facilitating Go/No-Go decisions and managing dependencies, risks, approvals, and implementation planning.
• Introduce practical release standards, templates, and documentation in Jira and Confluence.
• Identify opportunities to improve release reliability, standardization, coordination, and future automation.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in Release Management, IT Delivery, Service Management, or Project Management in complex Enterprise Systems environments.
• Experience coordinating releases across ERP platforms such as D365 F&O, AX, SAP, or similar.
• Ability to manage cross-system dependencies without owning the technical deployment.
• Practical experience with Jira, Confluence, and structured release governance.
• Ability to align business and technology stakeholders around shared release objectives.
