Order Management - Solution Architect (E-commerce)

What you will do

• Define and drive the architecture roadmap for the Order Management & Processing domain in alignment with business growth, scalability, and international expansion.
• Lead the transformation from monolithic systems to resilient, event-driven microservices using DDD, API-first design, containerization, and integration patterns.
• Own the end-to-end architecture for order capture, orchestration, payments, inventory, fulfillment, returns, and post-order operations.
• Design high-performance, fault-tolerant systems and integration frameworks for large-scale, multi-channel order processing, data consistency, reliability, and observability.
• Provide technical direction, architectural governance, design leadership, and mentorship without owning day-to-day development.
• Evaluate and adopt technologies that improve scalability, efficiency, and developer productivity.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in software engineering and architecture, including 3–5+ years as a Domain Architect or Solution Architect. Experience in Order Management, e-commerce, or other high-scale transactional environments is required.
• Strong expertise in microservices architecture, distributed systems, event-driven architecture using Kafka and RabbitMQ, API design with OpenAPI, Docker, Kubernetes, and CQRS/Saga patterns.
• Proven experience decomposing monolithic applications into scalable microservices architectures and driving large-scale modernization initiatives.
• Solid understanding of the end-to-end order lifecycle, including order processing, payments, inventory management, fulfillment, returns, and post-order operations, with hands-on OMS experience.
• Experience designing and supporting high-availability, high-performance systems, with a focus on scalability, reliability, observability, and performance optimization.
• Hands-on experience with PHP using Symfony and/or Laravel, Node.js, MySQL and/or NoSQL databases, Elasticsearch, messaging platforms, and cloud environments such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• Strong knowledge of data consistency models, distributed transactions, event streaming, and system reliability patterns, with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable and maintainable technical solutions.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills, including mentoring engineering teams, governing architecture standards, and collaborating across cross-functional and Agile environments.
