Principal Electrical Engineer (Oil & Gas)

hirify.global Careers is hiring for electrical engineering work supporting onshore and offshore oil and gas facilities.

What you will do

• Perform electrical engineering design for onshore and offshore oil and gas facilities.
• Develop studies, designs, specifications, and services for MV/LV switchgear, power management systems, MV VFDs, and distribution systems.
• Conduct power systems studies using ETAP and develop study reports, philosophies, single-line diagrams, specifications, and data sheets.
• Perform technical bid evaluations and review vendor documents, data, and drawings for switchgear and VFDs.
• Work with specialized Electrical Engineers and Designers on detailed engineering design.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in electrical design involving offshore electrical power and distribution systems.
• Detailed design and FEED experience with onshore or offshore MV 11kV and LV 690/400V systems and ancillaries.
• Familiarity with global electrical codes, standards, and regulations, including IEC and BSI.
• Knowledge of electrical systems assessment and compliance studies, reports, and database engineering for electrical deliverables.
• Ability to work independently.
